Parisian Vision, Indian Expression

L’Opéra: The Beginning

In 2008, during an internship in New Delhi, Laurent Samandari recognised the absence of authentic French viennoiseries and pâtisserie in the capital city.

Returning to Paris, he carried with him a clear intent — to introduce India to the flavours, elegance, and discipline of a traditional French Salon de Thé.

Soon, his family joined him, shaping this vision into what would become L’Opéra.

Pioneering French Cuisine in India

What began as a singular idea set a new standard for French culinary expression in India.

L’Opéra introduced the country to authentic French pâtisserie — from its first true Parisian macaron to a repertoire defined by consistency and precision.

The Maison, Evolving

From its first Salon de Thé, L’Opéra grew into a collection of boutiques across Delhi NCR, guided by an unwavering respect for French savoir-faire.

This philosophy finds expression across every part of the brand: the production facility through precision and process, the boutiques through elegance and warmth, and the products through a balance of heritage and modernity.

Together, this shared approach defines the maison today.
